Criminals disapears without a trace and it seems they can escape by the help of a machine which will bring them back into a passed time. Steed presents himself as a criminal on the run and finds himself back in an old countryhouse a few centuries back. There he discovers the timemachine is a froud and very dangerous for them who believes in it.
