Steed is up to stay with old friens. Soon it appears, the guests who are also in the house are not to be trusted and they planned from the house of their host to wreck a peace conference. The host and his wife both have got a phosphorus-bomb on their throats which can explode by using a kind of lighter. And so thei can't do anything against their uninvited guests. During the hunting, organised by the guests, Steed makes the hostage takers believe he has ben drawned in a swamp.
