Emma visits Steed and when he walks off the stairs he stumbles and he is badly hurt. Emma was on her way to ask Steed to bring her to Exmoor where she is invited by someone to discuss about bridge. But because Steed can hardly walk she is forced to go alone. She arrives at a big house and she meets Ola, a mysterious woman who seems to be obsessed by her teeth. Later that evening when Ola has to leave unexpected, Emma is alone in the big house and strange things are happening. Meanwhile Steed discovers the fall of the stairs was no accident, it was meant to avoid bringing Emma to her appointment. Than he decides to go to Exmoor also.
